2007 – 2008 Secondary Student Dress Code

A. Regular wear for Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

1. Shirts

Shirts – Collared polo style or button-downs
Turtlenecks and sweaters - If the sweater is collarless, you must wear a collared shirt underneath.
Blouses – Collared, button up

2. Pants

Slacks - Khaki, navy, gray or black
Jeans
Shorts - Khaki, navy, gray, or black (no denim)
The length must be no more than a dollar bill width above the kneecap while standing.
Girls capri pants - Khaki, navy, gray, black or denim
Belts - Worn if needed

 

3. Shoes

All shoes except rubber and plastic flip-flops

 

4. Outer wear

Coats and jackets free of large logos

B. Tuesday Chapel Dress

(Tuesdays will always be chapel dress regardless of schedule.)
1. (Ladies)

Blouses, Turtlenecks, and Sweaters
Follow the same guidelines as regular day wear. Blouses do not have to be tucked in.


Skirts

Skirts must be knee length or longer: khaki, navy, gray or black. No slits may be higher than the knee.

Shoes

Dress shoes and dress sandals (no tennis shoes)

 

2. (Gentlemen)

Shirts and Ties

Shirts must be collared and button-down. Ties
are required.


Slacks

No carpenter or cargo pants may be worn on chapel day.
Slacks may be navy, black, gray or khaki.


Sweaters

Follow the same guidelines as regular day wear.


Shoes

Dress shoes (no tennis shoes)


C. Friday Spirit Day Dress

1. All Shiloh Christian logo shirts and sweatshirts may be worn in addition to normal dress code wear.

 

2. Hoodies allowed on Fridays only.

 

 

D. Notes

1. The Dean of Students reserves the right to single out any piece of clothing that does not represent the look that Shiloh is trying to achieve.
    Parents and students are asked to cooperate if any piece of clothing is singled out.

2. Shirts, blouses, sweaters, and turtlenecks may be solid or patterned.

3. All undershirts must be a solid color, no ringers.

4. Boys must cut and groom their hair in such a way that it is above the ears, off the eyebrows and off of the collar. Facial hair is not permitted. Side burns may not extend below the earlobe.

5. Hats are not permitted in building.

6. No male earrings at school or ANY Shiloh Christian function.

7. Girls may not have more than two earrings per ear at school or ANY Shiloh Christian function.

8. No body piercings allowed at school or ANY Shiloh Christian function.

9. No clothing may have frays, cuts, or holes.

 

E. Points of emphasis

1. Razors will be on hand in the Dean's office for shaving.

 

2. With the exception of spirit day dress and ladies’ blouses on chapel day, shirts should be tucked in at all times.

 

3. Any violation of Shiloh dress code will result in the appropriate disciplinary measures as per the student handbook.
