Welcome to all of our new families, and welcome back to all of our returning families. We are looking forward to this new school year and all that God has planned for us to experience and accomplish through Him.
Announcements for Secondary
STUDENTS
• Chicken Biscuits – Tuesday, April 1, Taylor Keen and David Dantzler.
• SCHOOL IS OUT FRIDAY, March 28th, for students!!!! – Parent/teacher conferences 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the fellowship gym. Report cards will be available in the west foyer of the Fellowship Gym on Friday!
• FREE ACT Prep Class on March 27, Thursday, in room F240 (Miss Elliott’s room) at 6:30 p.m. for students and parents to attend.
• Andrew Evans ran the Boy’s Two Mile race in Mountain Home last Thursday. He was fourth overall with a time of 10:33 minutes which was his personal best!!!!! Congratulations!
• Reminder: SAT10 testing Tuesday – Thursday (April 1st – 3rd) each morning next week!
• For all 9 – 11 Graders interested in Health-Related Careers:
You have the opportunity to apply to the M*A*S*H* (Medical Applications for Science for Health) program. It is a two-week program held on the UAMS AHEC-NW campus in Fayetteville. Dates of the program are July 14-25. There is no charge for the program, but you must apply, meet all requirements and be accepted in order to go. Deadline for applications is April 4th. This is a great program, and a great opportunity for anyone interested in a medical profession. Please see Mrs. King for applications if interested.
• Any student 15 years or older interested in the fields of medicine or veterinary medicine, can sign up for the Med/Vet Summer Academy, a 10 day program at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. Lots of medical experience and also off-campus excursions to enjoy the West Indies! Also, may receive college credit! There is a cost for this, $1,800.00, which includes everything except scuba diving! Dates are June 5-14 for ages18 and older, and June 26 – July 5 for ages15-17. See Mrs. King for information.
• AT Last! The CD’s are in for the December 2007 Lip Sync. There are a limited amount so it is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED opportunity. The price remains $5 and Mrs. Hunt in H201 has them.
• It is time for Senior High Cheer Tryouts. Tryouts will be held this week.
• Seniors: Please turn in your pictures for the video for junior senior ASAP!!! Thanks!!
• Juniors and Seniors:
Please come by Mrs. King’s room and sign up for your table for the Junior Senior banquet. Also, the banquet will be catered by Noodles, and you have the option of Spinach Artichoke Pasta or Five-Layer Lasagne. You will also need to tell Mrs. King your preference for yourself and your date!

• Seniors will have their last luncheon this Thursday and will be leaving at 11:30 for the Courdin’s barn. Seniors must be back by 1:30; they will be considered tardy at 1:30. Seniors wear western dress that day.
• The Blue Team (freshman boys) baseball team will need to be released at 2:25 today to go Ft. Smith.
• The library will be closed in the mornings the week of March 31-April 4. Mrs. Merrifield is assisting Mrs. Giles with elementary SAT testing in the library, so the library needs to be quiet and free from distractions. Therefore, NO SECONDARY STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE LIBRARY BEFORE LUNCH MARCH 31-APRIL 4. Thanks!
• And now the good news: the library printer is up and running again! Hooray!

• A SPECIAL SPIRIT DRESS AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO THE GRADE THAT COLLECTS 450 BOX TOPS WITHIN THE MONTH OF JANUARY.
• A COLLECTION BOX HAS BEEN PLACED IN MRS. SABATINI'S OFFICE.
• PLEASE BRING BOX TOPS IN A SEALED BAG WITH GRADE LEVEL CLEARLY MARKED.
• EVERYONE LOVES SPIRIT DRESS!!!! HELP YOUR GRADE LEVEL WIN...COLLECT THOSE BOX TOPS!!!
