SHILOH CHRISTIAN SPANISH STUDENTS SCORE WELL

Congratulations to several world language students from Shiloh Christian School who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2015 National Spanish Examinations.
 
Students from Shiloh earned a total of 2 silver and 1 bronze medals along with 20 honorable mentions.  ?Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,? said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, ?because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 157,000 students participating in 2015.?

This is Shiloh's first year to give the exam.  The following students obtained national recognition:  Mattie Acuff, Connor Clark, Emalie McCroddan, Paige Fett, Lily Nguyen, Andrew Osborne, Spencer Loper, Wil Simon, and Seth Turpin in Spanish 1.

John-Marcus Carruthers, Emelie Fincher, Brennan Fulgham, Jeffrey Gearhart, Kylie Haggard, Austin Henley, Kylie Miller, Onuma (Ploy) Pleetissamuth, Haley Richards, Lindsay Tayles, Harper Whaley, and Olivia Yarbrough in Spanish 2.  Also, Anita Anita Ostale and Alberta Towns received national honors in Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 respectively.

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
