Chapel

The fish of the week was a salmon.  In chapel, we talked about persevering.  Just like the salmon swims upstream, we as Christians must continue to work against difficult odds.  Continue to encourage your children to work hard even if the task is diffcult, long, and even boring at times. 

Soup Contest

On October 16th, we have challenged the secondary students to collect cans of soup.  We will bring the cans of soup to class next week.  Each class will count their cans and bring the total to chapel.  The class with the most cans will get to wear their shirttails out for the rest of the day.  If elementary brings more cans than secondary, we will get to wear sweat suits on Friday the 17th.  All the soup will be distributed through REACH ministries of FBC.

Walmart Bags–please continue to send them with your children.  I have collection points in the elementary office hallway and bags available at morning drop-off.
