Dress Code
2008-2009

Chapel Dress (Tuesday)

  1. Navy polo long or short sleeved shirts with embroidery logo will be ordered through the school office.
  2. Navy turtlenecks or t-shirts may be worn under short sleeved polo shirts.
  3. Everyone will wear khaki shorts, capris, skorts, skirts or pants.
  4. Shirt tucked in with belt if belt loops are present.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

  1. Polo shirts with a collar and buttons on plaque, long-sleeved or short-sleeved in any solid color.
  2. Turtlenecks in any solid color. Long sleeve t-shirts or turtlenecks may be worn under polo shirts.
  3. Navy or Khaki shorts, no cargo pockets…length must be within 2" of the knee cap.
  4. Navy, Khaki, or jean pants, no cargo pockets, no embellishments or frayed hems.
  5. Shirts tucked in with belt if belt loops are present.
  6. Navy or khaki skort or skirt with pleats…Length must be within 2" of knee cap.
  7. Navy or khaki jumper with pleats…Length must be within 2" of knee cap.

Friday

  1. Spirit shirt - any t-shirt or sweatshirt labeled with Shiloh Christian.
  2. No football jerseys, basketball jerseys, or cheerleading outfits.
  3. Shirts must be tucked in with dress code bottoms.
  4. Belts must be worn if belt loops are present.

Miscellaneous

  • Tennis shoes are the preferred shoes since all classes will participate in PE or recess. No sandals, open-toed shoes, cowboy boots, or clogs. NO CROCS.
  • Socks must be worn with all shoes.
  • For cold weather, official gray or navy sweatshirts may be purchased through the elementary office.  These sweatshirts will be offered each year in the fall.  They must be worn over a collared shirt.
  • No hats in the building.
  • K4 students need pants with elastic waistbands.  No belts are required for K4.
  • K5 students will work on keeping the shirttail tucked in, no belt required.
  • 1st grade and above should keep shirts tucked in and belts on unless belt loops are not present.
  • Boys' hair should not exceed over the ear, eyebrows, or collar.
  • Coats and jackets will not be worn in the classroom unless the classroom is extremely cold.  No fleece jackets or windbreakers may be worn in the classroom.
  • Extreme fads are not permitted.
  • Girls may wear blue jean capris on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday
  • Boys may wear blue jean shorts on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday

Dress code violations will be dealt with through warnings, deductions from work/study grade, appropriate changes, and/or a call home for a change of clothes.
