Dr. McDaniel's Weekly Newsletter - October 8, 2023
Wow, what a beautiful weekend the Lord blessed us with! We will have a busy week with all of the homecoming festivities! These are such fun times for our students and great memories are to be made. This Friday we will have a significant number of people on campus from our homecoming pep rally, homecoming parade, Alumni Tailgate, and the Homecoming Football game against Pea Ridge! Just be patient in the parking lot. This will be a fun and exciting week!
I want to express my gratitude to our students. If you keep up with my newsletter, each week you can see our students are excelling in multiple areas of academics, athletics, and the arts. I am incredibly proud of each of them! It takes a high level of commitment, practice, determination, and grit to achieve the results that our students have. We are immeasurably blessed to have students of such a high caliber at Shiloh. Moreover, these students are finding success while being immersed in a Christ-filled environment where they are developing their worldview and value system. That is special and irreplaceable. I am so grateful for it.
As you reflect and pray this week, ensure to keep Israel at the top of that list. As you know, there have been significant events unfolding there and will continue to do so over the near future. We are at a unique point in history and there is a lot of vibrato in the world currently and people are testing boundaries and responses. We need to pray for a respectable stability to occur, for the families impacted by the attacks, and courage for the Israeli forces that respond.
We are blessed to live in the United States of America, may we never forget that.
Let's have a great week and live with the perspective of gratitude that we are able to live as comfortably as we do.
