Inclement Weather Policy

During times of inclement weather, we try to make a decision by 6 a.m. about whether or not to close school. In making that decision, we must consider the welfare of all of our students and the hazards involved in traveling on snow or ice. The decision is not always an easy or an obvious one. Notification of cancellation will be released via twitter at www.twitter.com/shilohchristian, posted on the website at www.shilohsaints.org, and sent to local radio and TV stations as soon as possible.

In the event of a school closing, it is probable that extra-curricular activities, meetings, etc. will be cancelled for that day as well.

A late start is an option we consider when inclement weather hits. On these days, school will begin at 10:00 a.m. and dismiss at normal times. Elementary students must bring sack lunches. For secondary students a limited lunch will be available, so you may consider a sack lunch for your student on these days. Additionally, the bus from Pinnacle Hills will depart at 9:30 a.m. on late start days.

We recognize that our families travel from various areas of Northwest Arkansas, so we encourage each family to use discretion in deciding whether or not to travel on hazardous roads.
