What's Happening at Shiloh

By the second week of January, something predictable has already happened. The excitement has faded, motivation has dipped, and many of the goals we confidently set just days ago are quietly being abandoned. In fact, it happens so often that we’ve given it a name—Quitter’s Day. A day that exists because quitting is not the exception; it’s the norm.

And if we’re honest, this quitting doesn’t just apply to diets, gym memberships, or productivity goals. For many, it shows up most painfully in our spiritual lives—especially when it comes to reading the Bible. Miss a day or two, and suddenly guilt creeps in, shame takes over, and a quiet voice begins to question whether we were ever serious to begin with. But what if Quitter’s Day isn’t evidence of your failure as a Christian—what if it’s actually an invitation to see grace more clearly than ever before?

It was so great seeing everyone back on campus this week! We love when the halls are filled with our staff and students! We look expectantly to the future as we enter a new year and a new semester! We praise God for his faithfulness and we so grateful for his blessings. 

Christmas is more than a familiar story or a feel-good tradition. At its core is a reality so profound we often miss it: God knows what it’s like. As we celebrated A Very Shiloh Christmas, that truth stood out to me in a fresh way this year—and it changes everything.

In this second week of Advent, we light the candle of peace—a peace my family has desperately needed in a difficult season. And we’ve found it by remembering one simple truth: God is faithful.

From Psalm 136 to the throne room of Revelation, Scripture reminds us again and again that His steadfast love endures forever. He was, He is, He will be—and His faithfulness is our peace.

Take a moment today to reflect on where God has been faithful in your life. Whatever you’re facing, His steadfast love endures forever.

WOW!!! HOW ABOUT THOSE SAINTS!!! I am so incredibly proud of our Shiloh Christian Football Team and Coaches! Our boys played their hearts out and our coaches prepared them well and gave them an incredible opportunity to be successful! Great leadership by both players and coaches. A story book of a game and one that will be remembered for years to come!! We give God the glory and are so grateful for his provision and grace!
