Dr. McDaniel's Weekly Newsletter - September 24, 2023

September 24th, 2023

Shiloh Family,

Praise the Lord for the rain last night, we needed a good rain! It is hard to believe that we are in the last week of September already!

I want to take a moment and brag on our high school history students. Some of our staff and parents took over 100 high school students on a trip to Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, Mount Vernon, and New York City this past week (significant undertaking). While they were there I was able to link up with them briefly between some of the meetings that I had.

During the time I was with them I had a significant numbers of workers, bus drivers, tour guides, etc. come up and tell me how incredible our kids were. One of the most special was a video sent to me from a guy that owns a food truck right by the capitol and he said "I have been in this spot for 30 years and your kids are the best I have seen and the most kind and respectful, beautiful people." I know that may seem small. However, there are thousands of students that are around the capitol each year and to receive high quality compliments like that is truly special. Thank you for raising such great students! We are so thankful to partner with you in this process of developing the next generation!

Last week we had a lot of a lot of things going on around Shiloh and abroad. Be sure to check out the weekly newsletter to see what all our students were involved in just one week of school!
